Thank you for the review. It sounds like the kind of book I will definitely want to read. Strangely enough, when someone dies, heaven or what happens after death, is very much on the minds of those who stay behind.

I like how the book wove the lives of four people into one unique story. It's setting, being in the Great Depression is intriguing. Not really my kind of genre but will certainly give this a try.

Your review made the book sound so interesting! I'm definitely placing that in my to read list, although I must agree with one of the comments here; the author should think about changing the book cover. I thought it was a bit of a religious book, to be honest. It didn't reflect the family-oriented and depth ridden story that it has, based on your review. Thank you for that!

This book sounds like a very emotional book and the fact that it speaks about family unity makes me want to read it. I will definitely read this book and recommend others whose faith is lost to consider reading it.Thank you for the review.

A book that provides a hearty read on a close complex of characters is a worthy read. After all, it's the characters that provide life to a story. A story that displays the value of a family and love, and morality is very important in a world where family is becoming a distant memory. Thank you for sharing this book.

I also like the fact that Charl had questions that needed answers and that learning from the story of the four people, she finally finds the answer.

The good thing about the book is the fact the stories all point to one thing: that happiness can be found anywhere if only we look deep. The book seems more of non-fiction than fiction to me. Thanks for the review.

Nice review! I would like to read this book. But if she is seventy-two years old, how old is her father? I guess it doesn't matter, since he is telling his story from when he was young.

I noticed in your review there was nothing noted about religion, god, heaven, etc. which is interesting because the book is entitled I'll point to heaven. Does god or religion factor into this piece of literature at all?

The questions asked at the beginning about the passing of a spouse as great questions, and I’m interested to see how the author answers those with this story.

Your review describes the story pretty well and I felt immersed in the story and at the same time I wanted to find out more about the characters.
I love historical fiction that has serious drama in it, so I will definitely give this one a try! :)

I don't normally read historical fiction. However, the characters in this sound fascinating and well-developed, and I do like a good character-driven book, so I might give this a read.
