Yes, that was a very brave - and generous - decision. I can see why you say t's an important book.

Seems like I've been reading quite a few books about mental health lately. There's such a stigma attached to it that we really need to dispel. Thanks for commenting.

I am sory that Sadie, from a very happy child ends up in an attempt to suicide. I would love to read this book to see how she endures with her pains. Well done!

I might need to read this book. My youngest son has attempted suicide in the past and still occasionally talks about doing it again. After reading your review I think my family would greatly benefit from it. Thank you so much.

Sadie's mental illness relat s to today's world pretty well. There is hope not only in suicide.
Thanks for the review

What a hard story to write, even more so to live through it. I admire her courage and willingness to share such an heartbreaking event in order to help others understand the difficulties surrounding mental illnesses, and also to share resources that may help others cope and perhaps find the help they need.

There are tears in my eyes already. Really mental heath is a big issue in our society. It is nothing to be ashamed of and people should not be ostracized because of it. Mental illness is not a sign of weakness neither is it the victim's fault. Its just an illness we should rise up and fight together. I will check this book out. Thanks for the review.

Some people search for normal every day. But accepting your "new" normal is sometimes the hardest part.

What a brave mom to step out and write about such a painful experience. Maybe on some level, the book helped to heal her heart. I think it’s great that material written by Sadie was also included. Well thanks for the review

Thank you for the thorough review. It is must have been very painful for Sadie's Mom to write this book. I am sure there are a lot of us that will benefit from reading this book.

A book that talks about the turns and tosses of life. What makes us human. Though I don't think suicide should have been the answer for her.
Thanks for the review.
