I read this book and I was equally shocked at how much the police department lacked during those times. People who complain about faulty investigations today would be amazed at how things were in the early 1900's. I also was saddened to read about how innocent people and family members were arrested simply based off an investigators feelings. Of course, intuition is important, but it should never be used as the sole basis to solve a murder mystery.

The cold serial Jack and the strangler murder is a combination of mystery murder that is very relateable with todays world.
Ada disappearence in the middle of the party they threw and later found dead was just the beginning of many others to come.
The vivid description of each murder made it imaginative. It made it seem like it was a variety of story as one would end another will begin and the procees would reoccurred.
With reading this book it gave me a insight backstory for each of the murdered victims.
I would rate this book a 3 out of 4 stars which could be improved with the reduction of the length of the book. With reading this book i can reflect on how the world it running right now with the murder and the excessive killing of the young children and adults.
This book is great for person who love a little mystery as well as crime.

From your lovely and intriguing review, I can tell the author put a lot of work into writing this book. As great as it sounds, it is not up my alley so I will pass but thanks for your review all the same.

I enjoyed your review. So many times true crime novels are dry and factual, but, it sounds like this book teaches us about the history of Jack the Strangler in an interesting way.

I like the active and creative mind the author has that he recreates crimes that happened some years back based on a genealogy tree he was researching. The backstory to each character is also interesting to read. Thanks for the review.

This is a good example of an author who is really invested in their own book personally. I would like to read more on it. Thanks for the interesting review.
