Wow,thanks for the review. It's an interesting story, a heartfelt one that depics what our societies face. Though it's emotional, it's gives one strength and power to urge forward.

Homelessness and a need for proof of being alive to get the social benefits could be so tough. This reminds me of the problems highlighted in the book "Food Bank Britain" by Ray Barron-Woolford. Thanks for the detailed review.

A homeless guy - Gato- declared dead by Social Security (SS) therefore denied access to benefits and back pays,..... no evidence to prove his identity, it does seems interesting. Thanks for the review.

Interesting review with few spoiler alerts and another Biblical Moment: as it sounds like the most heart-felt story of human kindness that I personally relate, in experiencing homeless in time past! "Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another!" Best wishes to the author on the #BOTD 🔐
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. (Revelation 20:12 (NKJV) :reading-7:

I read the first few chapters of this today and I found the different points of view to be unique. I appreciated your review because it seemed slow to me at the beginning and wasn’t really drawing me in. It sounds like it picks up as it goes along.

The story of Jesus “Gato” Cárdenas, is thrilling, suspenseful and thought provoking. I can't wait to find out how it all goes in his quest to regain his identity. Great review @Lest92

Interesting how Gato gets rescued after everything went south on him, worse in a foreign country. George and Alexia come in and rescues the poor man who maybe would have ended up in the streets. Gato is an honest man, but full of secrets. He gets along well with people, a quality trait that made him make friends during his stay as an immigrant. He has a blurry past, that's what makes him an interesting person. A very interesting book to read.

The premise of this book is quite interesting and unique: I have not encountered the plot before. Unlike the usual synopsis, I can't quite determine what to expect from the novel. Nice.

This book highlights the reality of homelessness, and that everyone has a story. That if you are able to help you should. I don't know if I am going to read this though.

Thanks for sharing your review. The scariest part is not what happened to Gato but that mistakes like this (whether accidental or premeditated it’s another story) actually happen in real life.

Thank you for your interesting review. The main character definitely sounds like he has an uphill battle to fight with Social Security, but that is a fact of life for many these days. I like that he has a good support system of those who step in to help him. I don't think that this will be a book that I put on my to-be-read shelf. The storyline doesn't pique my interest, so I think I'll pass.

I love character-driven stories, but the sample didn't interest me. Great review! Thanks.

I do not have much interest in reading literacy novels. From the review I could find the story boring to follow.
