Official Review: Citizen Cárdenas by Steve Cole
The review is a combination of a gruesome past and an even harder present. Also, potrays an edge of humanity which is so hard to see nowadays. Definitely a good BOTD.

This is a book about a homeless man Gato. He is declared dead by the Social Security department. So he lost his benefit, his only means of livelihood. His neighbors decided to take him in, feed him and help him re-establish his identity. I would like to read the book to know Gato's real identity and the neighbor's reason for helping him(Gato). The review was detailed. I love it.

The book is a master piece as the story revolves around a man who claimed to be dead and he need to prove his identity in order get his incentive or pension whatever it is. Umm....it is thought provoking if we are in such a situation to prove who you are when you have no ID proves with you. And the attempts made by the man in the book are quiet interesting. Book would be more interesting if u are a person who loves literature.

Wow, I can't imagine how my life would turn out if I could be mistakely assumed to be dead... The book is quite amazing, and the review is great. Thanks.

I will definitely add this to my book collection due to its First person narrative writing style and its classical theme. Satisfying review!

While portrayed as a novel, Gato's story of how easily those with a mental health illness can fall through the cracks. In a lot of cases, there is no one to help. Thanks for the review and also to the author for writing the book.

By reading this review, I definitely feel like there's more to this book that meets the eye. Makes me wonder about the people who go through this kind of experience, and how their lives are.

While the book sounds interesting I don't think I'll be reading this one. I'm not much for historical fiction. Great review though! Very thorough

I can't imagine being alive without any document of identification to prove it. Interesting novel, good line of story; the review said it all.

This is a very interesting premise. I don't think I've ever read anything like this before. I can't imagine having social security demanding proof that I actually am alive and withhold my benefits until I can officially prove it. I like that this is character-driven. Great review!

Doesn't really sound like my kind of read, but after reading the review, I might just give it a shot! :)
