Wow! The title is just the first attractive thing about this book. This author seems to have a different approach to writing a self-help book. I'll definitely take a look at this one. Great review!

Thanks for the great review. I like this particular self-help book and it's no-nonsense approach.
Mark has a good direct style and it sounds like his own Father was a common sense no-nonsense
kind of guy too.

I like the straight-forward splitting of the book into 4 sections, the discussion on taking responsibility,
controlling your thinking and doing things with intention. The author's humor comes through and makes this book an enjoyable and informative read.

Great review. I’m not into self-help myself and I keep looking at the title and worrying about the apostrophe.

I think that the title makes you want to read the book. The author is straight forward with a no nonsense type of attitude and that makes you want to read. I think that it helps with your mindset as well. The author wants us to take responsibility for our actions by asking for you to initial certain pages almost like a type of contract of understanding. I would not mind reading this book finish

I agree the title alone is funny. It drew my attention and me curious but it was not enough to keep my interest in this book. I generally do not enjoy reading self-help books. I'm glad this one has a different approach and it's a no-nonsense type of self-help book. I'm sure people who like this type of book will find it useful. I will not be picking this one up. Thanks for the review.

My life is as like as the story . It gives me enough energy to rebuild me . Hard work is not only the key to the success but smart work is important to get achievement. I am really impressed by this story.

I would not normally choose to read a self-help book, but this one, If Life Stinks, Get Your Head Outta Your But’s, has an amusing title that has me intrigued.
In the sample I have read, Mark L. Wdowiak, the author, promises to be honest - brutally honest.
The review says Mark L. Wdowiak manages to be encouraging and positive despite his tough love approach that says your life is determined by you, for better or for worse.
This no-nonsense approach makes a refreshing change from the usual fluffy content of most self-help books and I look forward to reading more of the book.

This is a great review! When I first saw that this book was a self help book, I thought there's no way that I would be interested in this. But this review makes it sound so inspirational! I always find myself being scared to do things because I think I can't, or I'm not good enough, or I don't know where to start. It's very true that your life is determined by you and you are the only one who can make things better and improve.

I love the title, too! Ha ha ha. But with that being said, I don't care for self-help books, so I won't be reading this. Still, I do like the idea of the sections you mentioned, crawling then walking then running; such an analogy makes it easy to understand such a concept. It's also nice that the author includes personal stories, thereby "bonding" with the reader a bit more. If this was a genre I could stomach, I'm sure I'd like it.

To be honest the title made me a little hesitant to read. However after reading a few lines i came to understand that this is one book that can perfectly complement what i have been reading in church about "breaking forth out of the crowd". As the teachings in Isaiah 54: 1-4, Joshua 14: 7-13, and Numbers 14: 1-13, suggest that i need to leave my comfort zone and fight for what is rightfully mine, this book provides the practical steps that are not provided in the scriptures. The book offers practical examples about how not to work hard but instead to work smarter.

Not a fan of self-help books but this one seems worth the read so I added to my want to read bookshelf. "Success in one area of your life leads to success in others, Mark points out" - I love this and it is so true. Love the organization of the book in different stages.

I personally do not believe in self help books and not a fan of them. Anyway the review is lengthy, descriptive and honest. So, it is a good review, which helps anyone to get a complete idea about the book and decide whether to read or not. Thank you 👍

I like happy and fluffy much more than tough love. Tough love makes you look at your situation honestly and that is not always pleasant. That's why it's so necessary.

I like the author's no-nonsense approach in this book.
Thank you for the review.

If life stinks get your head outta your buts by Mark L. Wdowiak

I liked the title which gave a comical feel to it, relaxing the reader into the story. I did however assume that this was a comical type book and not actually an inspirational type one. It wasn't until I started reading further that I realised that it was in fact suppose to be just that, an inspirational, encouraging type book.

I felt that the beginning did seem to drag on a bit, basically the first 2 chapters saying the same thing over and over again, but just in different ways. Never really offering a solution or advice.

It appeared to begin to give advice, very loosely, making it that everyone and every situation is different so every outcome would be different also.

I did enjoy reading this though and think if I continued to read it, it may elaborate more and go into greater detail, making it quite an interesting and helpful book.

I have read several self-help books. Usually, these books are upbeat and motivational, which is great. However, I love the premise of this book and how it holds the reader accountable and helps them to face their excuses. Congrats on Book of the day! Great review!
