I have read a small sample of this book, I found it very interesting. A phrase from the book "work smarter not harder" is a phrase I have heard just recently by two different sources, now three. I love the title of the book, "yeah, but" is a phrase I have heard, and have occasionally used myself. This book was definitely on my list of must reads, but your review moved it to next on my list to read. Thank you for a great review.

I usually feel that most self help books are vindictive. Most tend to judge people a lot. But I like the author's approach to it. The personal stories seem interesting

If Life Stinks Get Your Head Outta Your But by Mark L. Wdowiak

I'm in the military and we use the crawl, walk, run concept constantly to turn difficult concepts into concrete action. I read the sample for "If Life Stinks Get Your Head Outta Your But" and I was intrigued even though I rarely, if ever, gravitate toward self-help books. Your review of all three phases makes it easy for me to see that this is not just for lazy people who can't get out of a rut, but this is for anyone who needs to make a life change. While this book makes no excuses for direct talk, he doesn't let anyone off the hook for staying where they are. Because of this review, I can easily see myself recommending this to all of my military friends and close relatives who are perpetual complainers about their station in life.

I read the sample, and this surprised me as well. It was a lot more practical and straightforward than I anticipated. I love that he urges taking responsibility for yourself and your decisions, not comparing yourself to others, working hard and applying yourself, etc. He didn't say anything that I didn't already believe, but I was so pleased that someone out there in the self-help section is actually SAYING that. Most "self-help" books I've read seem to be saying the opposite and perpetuating the victim mentality, and that's the opposite of help - that's just enabling a destructive, entitled attitude. Pardon my rant, but I loved your review!

I nearly judged this book wrongly, because of the title which I considered to be "harsh". But your refreshing review reveals the secret treasures to success&fulfilment, embedded in this book. Indeed "Don't judge a book by it's cover".

Sign me up! I love the quotes scattered all over the review, just imagine what the book itself contains! I appreciate self-help books with an unconventional approach and the tough love this author employs works perfectly fine. I do agree that success means different things to different people and I'm quite eager to explore the concepts highlighted in this book. Thanks for the awesome review!

If I was interested in reading a self-help book, I think this would be the one. I like the tough love approach, and the small sample I read came across well. Despite the small issues the reviewer had with the highlighted text boxes, this book might be worth looking into at some point.

I read a lot of self help book and I do enjoy some of them while I don't even consider reading some just because they normally are bulky.
The name of this book especially caught my attention and then the review is very detailed and good.

Thank you for your review! The title instantly caught my attention. From reading your review, I think I would enjoy the author's approach. Self-help books should not only give encouraging words but also give a no-nonsense idea to work on your goals.

Non fiction is not my cup of tea. But I read the review and found it pretty enthusiastic which proves the book is really helpful and educational. I aslo liked the fact that the author supported each of his sections with some personal stories which made the things he wrote about more relatable. I'm sure the book will find it's reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I’m not too much a fan of these types of books, however, this one sounds unique. The author seems to be very focused on having the readers hold themselves accountable for their past actions, and not using their excuses as why they aren’t where they want to be in life. It’s quite original, as most books like this tend to only focus on making the reader feel good. Thanks for the wonderful review!

Great review. While self help books are generally not my cup of tea this one sounds unique and different. The title alone caught my attention and the author’s approach to bring successful in whatever you want to do with your life whether it be career or a good parent etc. is very interesting. Congrats to the author on a great review.

The title of the book is funny. I got to understand from the review how helpful this self-help book is. Definitely entering my 'love to read' book list. I love the quote "live with intention and not by accident". It's truly inspiring. There a lot to learn just from that quote alone. Thanks for the detailed review.
