Descriptive review but contains only pros, no cons. Feel like biased. Anyway I feel like this book is too much for me and not much interested in theory stuff. So I will pass by this. congrats on being BOTD

This sounds like a truly fascinating read. The blending of history, literature, and anthropology makes this seem like so much more than the description claims. I'd have to be in a very specific mindset to read this, and I don't know when that might be.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I love how this author has elements of literature and history in her book - a couple of my favorite things. And the cultural effects of them seems to be interesting as well. Great review.

This is a very good review on a complex topic. You broke it down into an understandable synopsis of what the book entailed. Thank you for "translating".

Thank you for your well defined interpretation of this book. Your review made it sound quite interesting, as I had a difficult time reading the sample. Your review however, particularly the part about how the author presents complex ideas with simplicity, encouraged me to go back and re-read some of the sample. But I guess I'm just not in the mood for a text book today as I didn't fare any better than my first attempt

I love the way that you have analyzed this author's work. It is apparent that IT is paving its way for the future, however, will it dominate humanity? Thank you for your splendid review.

Thank you for the intense review. I personally find the subject matter a bit over my head so I don't think that this book will be one that I pick up. I do think that for those who are able to fully understand and discuss this novel will find it engaging and insightful as technology moves forward and our ways of communication are altered.

This sounds like an interesting academic book that deals with the cultural effects of literacy and orality on our lives. Also the succinct presentation of the author's ideas as stated in the review is intriguing.

This book does seem like a good book for a literary or anthropology student. While the over all concept sounded like something I would be interested in, if it is written as complicated as the review sounds, I don't think I would be able to follow it. But it sounded like a well written and thought out book.

This book is not for everyone. People who are not interested in history or how oral or written communication had changed the world, will find it boring. I don't know if it not my cup of tea either, but I see the reviewer has a passion for the subject and the writer knows her stuff.
