IT has really changed our world and present lives. Nice work on the presentation of the author's idea. I believe that every voice deserved to be heard. It seems educational but complex. Still, thanks for the review.

Thanks for the review, but this book is just to academic for me. My views are very different from this book. I know that I would have no interest in it whatsoever.

Thank you for this review. I have read other books by this writer and she does have an ability to draw you in but this is not a genre that I enjoy and won't be reading this one. I am glad you liked the book and gave it 4 stars and I think you hit it spot on as to who would like the book.

This seems to be a fairly complex read that would be more than just an afternoon read. The complexity is fantastic for the topics covered. Great and informational review.

It sounds like an interesting read that focuses on important areas - literacy and orality, as well as how they tie into communication with different cultures. Great review.

This sounds like an interesting book. I wonder if artificial intelligence was considered (chatbots, etc...)

A very well-organised and written text according to your review. The sample I read was certainly impressive. Thanks for your valuable feedback!

Thanks for the helpful review. I definitely don't fit the crowd and I think that's evidenced enough by difficulty grasping what was happening in the first few pages! Discovering that this is a literary text is very helpful. Thanks :)

I don't think this book is for me. I read the sample and I had difficulty understanding the text. Great job on your review!

This book sounds like it has an extremely unique but interesting topic. Information Technology pervades every aspect of our lives and I'm interested to see what the author implies this means for the evolution of our modes of thinking.

Thank you for your review. While this book covers an important topic, I feel this book might be a little to much for me. Kudos to those who can grasp all the technical terms :techie-studyingbrown:

The sample shows the lengthy introduction to the book. While I appreciated the extent of the research, I was distracted by the numerous typos. These made the abstract concepts even more challenging to digest. I think there was a problem in transforming the book from its printed to its electronic form. Ironic, actually, as the book in part discusses printing and IT and their effects.

My grandmother was illiterate, so she shared everything orally. However, that severely limited her as technology continued to develop. This book seems to stress the importance of all forms of communication.

The book sounds well researched and informative. I would consider it academic in nature, but not necessarily esoteric. I believe there are many people who would want to occasionally break away from pleasure reading and digest a research study or two.

This is a really interesting subject. However, I guess you must have been reading an edited copy of this book, because the Amazon sample is full of errors and typos. That's the only reason I passed on reading the entire thing. I enjoyed reading your review much more, though.
