The book is a powerful read, giving insights into the work of a carer. There is a lot that the government still needs to do to recognize social service professionals like community workers, child and youth care workers, youth care workers, community workers and so on. There is often no support for these professions, although they are the pillar of our societies; involved in direct care of the sick, the disabled, the orphaned, the abused, and all the vulnerable in our societies. Thanks for the review.

I read the sample provided and it seems like a very interesting book. Care workers are amazing people and, as it becomes evident in this book, willing to do whatever it takes to help the patient.
This book seems interesting and worth reading.

I'm not often interested in stories about the medical field, but I do enjoy positive personal stories. Great review! Thanks.

This book sounds very interesting to me. I also feel I can relate to the author because of my current work. It is always nice to hear of someone that has changed careers to make a difference in other people's lives. And this author went a step further and is sharing that experience with all of us. Thank you for the great review. I look forward to reading the book.

Not my kind of read, but having been in the healthcare field working in complex continuing care and long term care facilities, the description of this book really touched me. Some of these folks are the hardest working people on the planet and they give so much of themselves to their job and their clients. I would be interested in hearing some of the author's experiences.

Being in the health care sector and military both, simultaneously for 5 years, I agree to the point that we are being underpaid for what we do. A good, descriptive and a honest review, which gives a fully detailed idea about the book and an urge to read it. The book does not belongs to my palatable genre list, yet, I am going to give a try. Thank you for the review 👍

I'm impressed by the author's versatility, from a caterer to a care-giver and now a writer. Also points to the benefits of keeping a diary - one day you can convert it into a bestselling novel.

As a retired care worker, I can very much relate to the topic of this book. I'm so glad you found the book upbeat and fun. I can imagine the anecdotes the writer had with his care worker experiences. I thought the story you set as an example of the broken hoist the late assists and the power outage really set up the book for readers. Thank you for this nice review.

After reading your review I thought about giving this book a second chance. When I read the title I thought it would be those kind of books where they start with dear diary and write what happened on that day. But it wasn't that case and I kind of was disappointed and bored with the book.

Thank you for a wonderful review. Having worked in the healthcare field for many years, I can understand the necessity of compassionate, trustworthy, dedicated care workers. I'm glad the book was told in a light-hearted and positive manner, as the job certainly is not without it's drawbacks.
