Thank you for the review, although you presented the book really well and for a moment i was encouraged to read it, religious books aren't really my thing.

cpru68 wrote: 08 Jun 2018, 00:33 While the book has many good qualities, it may not be for everyone. First, it is clearly Christian based, so those who do not adhere to that way of living would probably find no interest in it at all. Second, in the 'About the Author' section at the end of the book, she states that she attends a Baptist church and has been highly involved there for over thirty years. There are many sects of Christianity, and what is taught as the gospel truth in one may not be in another. Her belief system may not reflect that of all followers.
I was born and raised in the church of Christ, and it was always implied that everyone else was wrong except us. I have since grown apart from the church of my upbringing and now consider myself more of a Christian-Buddhist. I appreciate the effort it must have taken for the author to put together a daily devotional for every day of the year. It inspires me to someday write one of my own, reflecting a more encompassing belief of many faiths that would be open to more people.

Thank you for your honest review.

It sounds like a nice concept, but I'm extremely anti-religion so this book is one I'm going to steer clear of.

I like the message of the book. We people forgotten our duty to God. Even the simplest way of talking to God because of our own priorities in life. We must thank him for giving each day to cherish with. Maybe it’s about time to to mend the bond and lend him a time everyday just to thank him for everything he has given us Despite of our actions.

The review is very good, but I wonder why it was rated three out of four instead of four out of four? This is my kind of book. I sense that this book is really from God.

When i was elementary i love reading bible because of my favorite verses i’ve always wanted to memorize. In somewhat i got interested to this book where i can recall what i read on the bible before. There are a lot or more information shared in the book about God and the bible.

i may not be typical when it comes to showing my faith in God but i would want to discover a stronger spiritual life that includes open communication with Him so i like books like this. i had read better ones but this book surely had me for providing space for reflections. good job on the review!

This seems like a beautiful daily devotional for a year. I like the idea of seeing what the author has heard from God as part of the work. It does seem like that would make things a bit more personal and relatable.

Thank u for the good review and even though this book does not interest me, it is nice to know that there are authors who are taking the time to break down the bible. Being raised Catholic, the bible was always daunting and overwhelming for me. Having a compilation like this may have helped back than! Breaking it down day to day would help the individual reader stay focused in their pursuit of faith based knowledge and living.

You are right, this could not appeal to those of us who have no interest in Christianity, and maybe also not to Christians who don't share Baptist beliefs. Thanks for your clear and insightful review, though.

This is definitely my type of book and a must read. Any book that will help me grow spiritually, learn to study the bible and also learn to discern God's voice and hear from God is more than a warm welcome for me. Detailed and insightful review!

This is great but I don't love reading spiritual books so this isn't for me.

The Bible never ceases to inspire. But reading it seems to be a gargantuan task that few find easy (or exciting) to do. These devotionals give us daily snippets of the good book that act like daily vitamins or maintenance meds. We need to take them to keep healthy. I'm glad this one's free. I'm starting my daily dose.

Thanks for the uplifting review!

This book is definitely not for me as I do not follow the Christian faith, but I could see how this would appeal to a large number of people. Even if you're not religious, it is nice to find comfort in the principles that Christianity offers, and we could all take away some lessons from this. The reviewer did a nice job of explaining the book and I felt that I had a good understanding of what it was all about.

Thank you for the interesting review. As I don't read a lot of religious/spiritual novels I don't think that this book will be for me personally. I read the Bible often, but I think that the flaws in this book would bug me. I like to garner teachings on my own and the author getting off topic in places would be a huge distraction for me.
