This seems like an interesting read. I'll admit I'm not one for revenge books but I'm also not about molestation and believe in justice towards the victims. I like that even though this is a sequel, it is not required to read the previous book. I'll give it a shot.

Thank you for your review. The 4 out of 4 stars rating is a good indication of its predicted appeal to lovers of its genre. I think it'll give good insights to those into law enforcement and litigation, or for psychoanalytical study and other academic purposes to understand crime and its prevention. However, I think I'll skip this one for now.

I especially liked the ending of the book because it showed that there are reasons, no matter how skewed they may be, behind every intention. A fair warning, though: this book is not for the softest of hearts due to the detailed descriptions of gore. However, I am definitely recommending this to those who love thrillers and crime/mystery.
Thanks for your review. I am not fond of gore, and the thrillers I read usually don't contain gore. But some mystery writers love to splatter the page. I will take a look, because I love flawed characters, and this guy sounds like one.

Cheers! :P

Thanks for the review. It’s an interesting plot device to actually have you feeling some sympathy for a serial killer.

The cover alone draws me in, this book seems right up my alley. I find it very interesting that the book can be very graphic because of the killer's actions, but in moments the reader also felt sympathy for him. I am always looking for a new thriller/mystery book to read and now learning this is the second book in series, I have two books on my list now!

Having heard horrifying real stories of serial killers, it was a relief to come across this book. It is relieving in the manner that one is able to follow and monitor closely the mind of a serial killer as well as in identifying what motivates his/her bad actions. It is a book that I can only recommend to those who can withstand some little 'fear'. Thanks.

This book sounds to be as interesting as its prequel. There are not so many book that give the detailed descriptions of how a murderer's twisted mind acts. Besides this one seems to give more information about the reason Craig Breedlove became a serial killer. It will be interesting to read this book. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I usually don't like this kind of books. But this one is intriguing. The killer is having his revange on the priests that molested him in childhood. And I think he might have earned that revange.

Thrillers are my game, and serial killers fascinate me.

It is sad that those who are expected to save souls sometimes doom them. Who is evil in such cases? I'm curious to know how the author tackles this controversial theme.

I'm ecstatic that this book is free!

The author, Brian Gallagher is more than adept at writing humor in the face of darkness. Ted, a man who, quite literally, would not know to come in out of the rain, provides an element of comic relief even if it is tainted with sadness. His level of understanding in the most basic of situations leaves the reader almost dumbfounded at times, making it easy to empathize with O’Callahan and Pucci’s frustration.

Serial K Returns is steeped in suspense from the first chapter to its conclusion. Gallagher incorporates perfectly-timed revelations as the story unfolds. The plotline surrounding Breedlove’s organization of his own wayward crime family provides ample opportunities for the reader to try to outguess the author.

Very nice book. Thank you, Brian for this book.

I just joined the online book club and when this popped up as my first book I was very intrigued. I researched this book and the first of the Serial K series and was awestruck. I love this book genre. Partial mystery, suspense, and thriller. I read the first few pages of Serial K Returns and I am hooked. I can’t wait to see more perspectives as to why a person can become a serial killer or even the slightest inkling as to how the mind of a serial killer works. The author did a lot of research and I am looking forward to spending part of my summer break reading this book and many others.

When I saw the cover book, I feel a little creepy. It's like a horror theme. However there's a hidden story behind the the title of the book. Knowing what Craig Breedlove experienced when he was a child, it also hurts me. He was abused and molested. I just didn't approved to his idea of revenge. I hope he overcome what he had experienced in the past.

This sounds like one thrilling, twisted story. A serial killer who is out for revenge as a result of being molested by a priest when he was young. Definitely one for my tbr list.
