Wow! Your review is touching, and compelling enough to read it. I usually like war stories, and anything related to biography. This seems like it. Thank you for the convincing review!

A historical fiction about a french boy who is strengthened by tragic events that happen to his family members. Few grammatical errors are present but it's great to note that it doesn't interrupt the flow of the story.

This one sounds like it has the intensity and sadness of most books from this time period when the Germans overtook certain locales and had no regard for humanity. A young boy and his elderly grandfather hiding from capture sounds scary. Thank you for this detailed review.

good review about the book which indicates me this book tries to gives more clear picture of the lives of the people living in Germany during world and how uncertain their life was with all the hardship the face that one can imagine
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

This historical fiction book and Kamel himself symbolizes the effects of war to ordinary citizens. Imagine dreaming innocently of what life is but waking up shortly due to the turmoil of war. Nazis' cruelty and monstrosity is indeed a very sad part of history. Thank you for this touching review!

I haven't read a story that's made me cry yet, but I'll check it out anyway. I love the war theme going on! It's brilliant

The cover of this book caught my eye right away. I love how the story was written by Kamel. That way you know everything written is legit. Sounds like a very interesting book. Thank you.

Thanks for the great review, but historical fiction, especially when war is involved, just doesn't do it for me. I read to escape into a fantasy world, not to think or to be saddened or angered, so this tome seems to be as far from my kind of thing as one can get.

Nicely written review. I am glad you enjoyed it and recommend it heartily. I love historical fiction. it might be interesting to get a glimpse of what happened in Germany during WorldWar1, but I don't know if I want to cry at this time. I truly need cheering up instead. Pity about the grammatical errors. I hope the author can correct them. Well done!

Though I was not a lover of historical books but this book captivated me.. Telling the story of his life. The happiness of the hunting trip and the sadness of his families death.. How he struggles to remain alive which shapes him to this man yet still though a child... The book is Wonderful

Thank you for your illuminating review! It's a really tragic story, allowing a reader to feel the atmosphere of horror the main character, Kamel, had to go through. It's surely worth reading.

This sounds like an emotional historical fiction that takes place in World War I. The character and story seem very well-developed. Congrats on book of the day. Great review!
