The good world-building, descriptive settings, and fantasy creatures are the good things about the book. However, after reading the preview pages and your mentioning of the colorful language and the extreme violence used, makes me know that this book is not for me.

Thanks for your helpful review.

I guess I have become a 'violence-averse' reader. While I like stories across all genres, fantasy is not my most favorite and graphic violence is not enjoyable to me at all.

That's too bad, since his fantasy world seems intricate. I've never even heard of an ifrit before.

I loved the way you reviewed the book. Throughout the review I felt like I'm going on a ride to the magical ancient world. Elves, Fairies, Monsters, Bloodshed..!! I'm definitely gonna read this book.

The dark theme of the book is a turn off for me. Glad you enjoyed it.

The cover gives me shivers; I am imagining a lot of bloodsheds based on the cover alone. The review was very descriptive but not to the extent that it gave off spoilers. Congrats!

This story reminded me of the war of middle earth in Lord of the Rings. Fascinating review! I dare say anyone who wishes to have a bumpy action ride would enjoy this, certainly a Lord of the Rings fan perhaps. Thank you for the detailed review!

Wow amazing review. I do love a good fantasy read. Fairies, elves, adventure, the battle between good and evil, humor, I love these elements so. The fact that this book not only made you mourn the end but gave you that all too little achieved book hangover makes it a must read for me. Congrats to the author on a gushing glowing review and thanks so much for sharing.

The book sounds pretty exciting. It resembles a fantasy saga where a group of fairy creatures unite to illiminate a two thousand-year-old evil and it must be action-packed because the book has more than 500 pages and the story only spans over five present days. I believe that a lot of people will love this book; as for me, I'll pass on this one. According to the reviewer's opinion "the carnage and bloodshed were a crucial part of what made this story authentic" and though I'm not particularly averse to violence but I believe it will be too much for me. Congratulations to the author on getting such an enthusiastic review and on becoming BOTD!

I am intrigued by the rapid course of action, happening in only 5 days. And the bloodshed reminds me of Game of Thrones. But this is not exactly my cup of tea, so I will pass it.

The sample, with this review, is enough to get me hooked. This is one I'll be reading in the near future. Unconventional takes on standard monsters is a nice change of pace.

I agree that the writing is exceptional and the plot is riveting. The pace is perfect and anyone who loves fantasy will fall for this one as well. The only downfall for me is the excessive violence and "colorful language" . Because of that, I am not sure if this fantasy is right for me. Great review!
