Re: The Rant Thread...

Post by A24 »

Similar to Mike's rant about older drivers on the road, I have a problem with drivers that drive in the left lane and don't pull over. In the US, it is drive right, pass left. But, some idiots like to drive at their own slow pace in the left lane, clueless that there is a line of cars piling up behind them. But, this morning took the cake when I was behind this girl in the left lane going about 55 mph while the speed limit is 65 mph. She was weaving between the two lanes ....because she was applying her makeup while she was driving!! I was flashing my lights for her to move over and she didn't pay any mind. Then, as we were going over a bridge, she continued in the left lane applying her makeup! I was afraid to pass her on the right as I was afraid she'd swerve over and force me off the bridge! I laid on the horn, like what in the world are you doing? Can you believe she just continued to apply her makeup in the left lane, slowly, while swerving? Clueless and dangerous! Where are all the cops when you really need one??

@ A24, well, when they scrape her off of the highway she might be pretty but dead. People are stupid. Ive also seen people fumbling with stuff , apperently looking for something and weaving all over the road, or looking around everywhere sightseeing and weaving all over the road.

And you guys can just stop, whip it out, and take a piss any-ole-where when you need to. :x

Not to mention yall don't gotta deal with all the "blood and guts" that make a sudden gushing appearance in the middle of Salon 101, resulting in an embarassing rush home to change pants.

It sucks how Halloween costume wigs never look the same as the front of the package. It just makes me mad. The thing wasn't even the same color. Ugh!

This isnt exactly a rant, but I heard today that the FDA is taking top-spot flea killer for dogs off the market. They claim it poisons dogs and can kill small dogs. Ive used it on my dogs for a long time, and I have noticed they have chills and are listless for a week or so after I apply it. Maybe thats what killed my dog Gabby. I guess Taffy is going to have to put up with scratching, I wont use that crap on her anymore. Maybe a flea collar, but they say they are garbage too. Just regular baths with Dawn dish soap, that kills the little bastards.

We use frontline for our dog and cats for fleas. It's the only thing that seems to work. And, you have to be sure to put it on regularly or the buggers start cycling again. Here in NJ, I can pick it up at the local animal shelter a whole lot cheaper than the Vet or PetSmart. You know that if the fleas aren't in control, your animals will have worms too which come from eating the fleas. They need to be taken care of too. We have 5 cats - believe me, I know.

I heard about a natural top spot, its supposed to be all natural and wont hurt your pets. Im going to check it out. I also used Frontline, but it was the main one that was listed as one of the bad ones. Like you I take good care of my dogs, they are like family.
