Was humanity intentionally created or is it a result of some cosmic explosion? Are there proofs that God exists? If God exists, why do people suffer?

In Revive Your Life! Rest for Your Anxious Heart, Pamela Christian expounds on some profound truths concerning the God of the Bible. The book is very fascinating. It is divided into three parts and contains twelve chapters. Having done a course in Apologetics, graduating with a certificate from Biola University, Pamela writes to prove Biblical truths but in a way that is appealing.

The book touches on a variety of topics that are paramount. All believers and any seeker would find something useful in this work. By handling different areas that all seek to address a single subject, the book was made captivating. The author also included personal testimonies of different people who encountered diverse challenges. The inclusion of the lessons they learned made the message of this book very reliable. Their challenges also served to teach one single lesson. The lesson is that God is supreme over all suffering. It was also important that the author demonstrated clearly that suffering strengthens a person’s faith.

The author began with simple and basic truths that are seeker sensitive. Anyone will be captivated when reading the first chapters. The author does not delve into complex information first. This is a strength given that the author understood that some readers would have to begin from a basic foundation. The truths are then built on as the discussion progresses. At the end of the book, the reader is now made aware of how he or she can apply what she has learned to their daily lives. The reader is also encouraged to love others just as God loves them. The importance of unity and in its place in the church was not left out.

What I loved most about this book was the way the author handled issues frankly. Her passion to see a change in the world is evident throughout the book. One will definitely agree with her that deception and division characterize the state of our world today. She brings out these truths in a way that will certainly influence the reader to work towards realizing change. Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It has no errors. I recommend it to Christian believers and non-believers alike. Those seeking answers to questions such as why people suffer will also find this book very helpful.

To sum this review, I can only say that I agree with the remarks that were made by some readers concerning the book. These remarks are included in the book at the beginning. Pamela also included her website in case one would want to book her for a speaking engagement. One important tip is how to develop one’s own goal, mission, and vision. Everyone will definitely benefit from this.

It is interesting this new approach, but I think that it is like an easy method to read the Bible. Everyone has the right to choose how it understands it.

I agree with your statement, "...suffering strengthens a person’s faith." This brought to my remembrance of the verse "For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ." (2 Corinthians 1:5).

Thank you for your review in this book. This book is certainly a good read.

It is so obvious that God exists. There is proof of the deliberate patterns and shapes of things in nature. Take a look at a flower for example. Doesn't it show the handiwork of the greatest artist ever? It is not random like a big bang clash shape would be. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. Psalm 14: 1 Thank you for your wonderful review.

Very true. It is the reality that eventually how one understands the Bible will depend on how one will interpret.

I enjoyed reading your review. This sounds like an inspiring book that could benefit so many readers. I really enjoy reading books that are spirit-based. I am just reviewing a book that is about the Bible and some discrepancies around the story of Judas. I find these topics compelling. Thanks for the great review.

Thanks for the comment. This is very true. It seems that many want to create their own reasons to dispute this reality. I hope that books such as this will be of help to them. It is always hard for some to accept that there is someone who they must be accountable to.
