Great review. This book seems like an interesting one. I like to read this book because of its vintage setting. Thank you for sharing.

I spent the first 15 years of my life in a small town where everybody knew everybody, and let me tell you, this book has it right.

This looks like a dramatic novel that emphasises on sex and peer pressure among the teenagers. Thanks for being the BOTD.

Gosh, that was a great review! You actually kind of sold me on the book. With such a breezy read and more nuanced thoughts on gender dynamics, this seems like a great book.

I felt happy to read this nice review which shows the contents of this book focus on high school level adolescents sociality between opposite sexes and also about the side effect of male dominion outlook on males itself. It seems like very impressive work by the author.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Sounds like a good book to read. I think as we all grow older we forget what it was like being a youngster. I think social media just adds more stress on them. Great review!

I wasn't drawn in by the sample or it's subject, so I think I will pass on this one. Glad you enjoyed it though.

I'm so glad this book is able to tackle subjects like toxic masculinity, sexuality, social pressures, and the like. This definitely seems like an interesting read and an important addition to the ongoing conversation about these issues. This will go on my to read shelf, great review!

A narrative novel speaking about the high school drama and social pressure that teens tend to experience. The writing is also straight forward and clean.

I like your review style! Great insights. Detailed information about what to expect. I wasn't at all sure about reading the book from the online sample but your review makes it clear it is about much more than I thought. A straightforward look at the pressures inherent upon young men and women make it sound like an interesting read. Thank you!

Great review, toxic masculinity and peer pressure are a dangerous combination.

Although I rarely read books with topics like these, based on your review it seems like it's a very good book and has captured my attention. I'm interested to know how the social pressures affect young men and know the difference between how it affects both young men and young women. Thanks for such an excellent and detailed review!

Although this may be a better book if it were actually read through yet judging from the the reviews that I have read along with the book descriptions given when downloading the sample of Playing Hurt on the Amazon website it just is not one of those books that catch my attention and beckons me to want to pick it up and read.

There seems to be so much to learn from the book and everyone can be educated by it since it raises the issues of gender in the community and their role expectations. In the side of sex and relationships, I would like to know how Deannie and her friends navigate the whole situation as they are given contracting opinions from their social spheres which include their friends and family. Thanks for such a remarkable review.

This book seems to be a great read for people who like to read character driven stories. I don't ever read books with topics like this one that include sex, toxic masculinity, and peer pressure so I think I'll pass on this book. Great job on your book review!
