I felt that way about him too. Agent Sliver did not show a lot of emotion throughout the story, but there were obvious reasons for that. Kelly showed a lot of emotion, but due to her situation it was usually either anger or sadness. Rex, on the other hand, seemed capable of happiness, anger, annoyance, confusion, and a whole bunch of others. On a side note, I also liked that he was a little bit of a sarcastic jerk. It gave me a good laugh. Given that he now has free will, I also wonder if Rex stayed with Agent Sliver after the story ended. Yeah, it definitely helped liven up the dialogue quite a bit.
