I'm reading the first series now. I do love crime books. That stinks about the dialogue but I think I can oversee it. Thanks for the review.

Jacko and Jamie are back! This time to investigate human trafficking. I like that Australia's beauty is described in great detail.

Really good review of the book The Warramunga's Aftermath of War.. Thanks for bringing out what you did about the dialogue. The summary of the book was well done and did not give anything away. I had read a sample of the first book and it made me want to read more, and the sample of this book coupled with your review has given me a thirst for more. Looking forward to reading this one as well.

The issue of pedophilia is very sensitive and I hope this is presented with utmost care. Happy reading to us!

Great review. Historical fiction is not really my cup of tea but this sounds like a good fit for fans of the genre who also enjoy crime mysteries and adventure thrillers. Thanks so much for sharing.

I like the book since it is talking on human tracking which is a crime and is affecting most African countries, the writer sims to be around when things happen since he started by saying that "we met two hero's" thanks for talking on issue affecting Africans.

I liked the characters of Jamie Munro and Jack O’Brien in Warramunga’s War so I am expecting this novel will keep me engaged. I liked that book a lot, and have got used to reading some lengthy conversations. I have listened to quite a few as well.

I am pleased to find the plot of the first story is not the whole book and I am looking forward to finding out what happens when Jacko’s half-sister appears and the adventure moves into the Australian outback. I like the author’s descriptive writing and I think from the nicely detailed review that I will not be disappointed.

This seems to have some very heavy content that many may be unable to stomach with the child trafficking. Also, I'm glad you mentioned the dialogue, because long, unnatural, stilted dialogue is something that drives me nuts when reading a book. I may be more likely to steer away from it now because I find stilted dialogue cringe-y.

Too bad about the dialogue apart from that, Its sounds like an engaging read. Not usually my genre, but it sure has gotten my attention.

Based on the review, the book sounds like it has an interesting premise. Sorry to hear the dialogue is distracting at times. I have read books before that had too much dialogue between characters and it does become very distracting. Thanks for the honest review.

The part where children are used for rich old men's pleasure is very painful. Since I'm both a mystery and thriller lover, I will definitely read the book to find out how Jack and Jamie dealt with those terrible traffickers. Intriguing review.

I like the way the review of this was carried out. As a result, it makes me curious to read the whole book. I may however skim over the conversations if I find them boring.
