Thank you for the engaging review. I have to admit that I'm on the fence concerning this book. I'm not too keen on the subject of the child trafficking, but then I'm curious and eager for the bad guys to be caught all the way around. The dialogue issue might bug me a bit, but the storyline sounds promising.

I enjoy this book which doesn't know where to end. When the first part seemed neatly done with, the storyline drifts off to another adventure in the wilderness. I love twists in stories. This will do for me as a great reading pastime. Thanks for the interesting review.

The Warramunga’s Aftermath of War is not my usual preferred genre. It may peak my interest, however, if I started from the beginning of this trilogy. Those interested in wartime stories may find this an intriguing novel.

After learning about a distress signal given by a fishing boat nearby, Jamie and Jacko set off to investigate. Much to their surprise, the boat is anything but a genuine fishing boat, and its cargo is a strange one too. When bodies of children are found floating around the boat, and an alive, terrified child is found hidden on the lower deck, they both suspect that the crew is involved in human trafficking. They soon learn that, indeed, the criminals are involved in child trafficking for the pleasure of rich pedophiles. Thus begins their major investigation into the trafficking ring, where both are hell-bent on bringing the pervert criminals to justice.
After reading the sample with the two little boys on board the boat, I thought there might be something like that going on. Ugh! But otherwise the book sounds right up my alley.

Thanks for the review!

This is the follow-up to the first book, which I have already expressed a desire to read, so, naturally, I want to read this one as well. The story seems to get more interesting and intriguing, so should make a good read. Thanks for your enlightening review.

There is nothing worse than dialogue that isn't good. That turns me off completely. So this is going in the no pile.

I don't read much about war stories, but this is an adventure of 2 friends. Which sounds like an interesting mystery.

I thought I was having deja vu, until I realized this was actually the sequel to yesterday's book of the day! Maybe it's possible to read this without reading the first one, but I always prefer reading a series in order. I'll consider this after I've read the first one. Thanks for the review!

It sounds like I'd like the author's writing style. I enjoy when they can make you feel as if you are actually there. I can get passed the stiff dialogue. I can't get passed the topic of pedophiles. I wouldn't be able to read about it. Just knowing that it's a part of the story is enough, even if they were caught and punished. It wouldn't make a difference.

I would like to read about the Warramunga people and the Australian Outback, if the premise was different.

I did like your review. It let me know that I might enjoy a different book by this author. Just not this one. Thank you. 💕

Thank you for your fantastic review! Crime storylines are usually not my forte, but after your review I might try reading this book. Reading about two people putting an end to even a small portion of child trafficking and apprehending the perps, or should I say pervs got my interest. Even the thought, that there are people that are pedophiles makes me sick to my stomach.

Too bad that the stilted dialogue reduced the overall quality of what sounds like an interesting novel. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for your honest and insightful write-up. I'm not really a fan of this book's themes and what you've mentioned about the dialogues isn't positive either. However, a story with Australian tinges and set in the Philippines - the countries where I'm now and born in, respectively - is something I'm giving an exemption enough to be interested in despite other factors. I've already placed the first book in the series in my "Want to Read" list, and I think I should opt again to do that for this one, too, based on your review.
