Re: Official Review: Rhonda the Panda by Hope Franklin
I think at the moment, that it would really only be good for flipping through the illustrations. Hopefully the author jacks up the narrative a bitEryn Bradshaw wrote: ↑05 Aug 2018, 03:25 It sounds like this would be a great book for kids to flip through with the illustrations. Unfortunately the plot holes would make it frustrating for a parent who might have to read the same book over and over to the child. Great review, Bianka!

Thanks for commenting, Eryn

Oops, I should have said I love Panda videos and when I watch one, I watch another, and lose track of time. They are just so cute. That one was funny.Bianka Walter wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 15:02I'll be sure not to share any other videosBritty01 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2018, 17:35LOL. I looked up the Sneezing panda, there was mama and baby panda and I was wondering who is going to sneeze. I must have had the volume turned up, it took me by surprise when the baby panda did sneeze. I shall resist the urge to look at more videos.Miriam Molina wrote: ↑02 Aug 2018, 15:26
Thanks for sharing the video; it's my first time to see it. Wish it was longer, though. It's amazing that that little thing could make such noise and startle its momma.![]()
I also discovered that caring for a panda is five times more expensive than caring for an elephant!
But, I mean, come on. A sneezing baby panda. It really does win the internet.

Exactly. Illustrations are important, but not the only thing that matters.

I also felt really bad for her brother!Julie Green wrote: ↑10 Aug 2018, 01:23 After reading your review, I just feel sad for the panda's brother! It sounds like it could be a lovely book, if only it was more thoughtful.

Exactly! I was sorta that child... wondering why we didn't see what else was in the parkHelen_Combe wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 02:28 Great review as always. I tried to review this book but my download only gave me the front cover. I thought it looked very attractive too. I can just see a child asking ’why don’t they go in the park?’ and the parent having to come up with some excuse. I bet they hate it when that happens.

Thanks Helen

I had high hopes too!
