I was thinking on those lines as I read this very well detailed review. From what I have read she sounds like a very positive, caring individual who has devoted much of her life to healing and spirituality. There is a lot of positive messages here and I believe it will probably resonate with others.

For those that are interested in, practice, or want to know more about living a life of spirit and light, this seems to be an excellent go-to text. I can see how readers would definitely want to to find a way to reduce stress, reduce pain, and provide an overall sense of well-being using love in all forms.

I have a problem with books that teach “that we are the absolute creators of everything in our lives, the good and the bad.” I know about “The Laws of Attraction” and I don’t buy into it (even though my wife swears by it!) It seems like just a matter of blaming the victim. What about starving children? Did they create that reality for themselves? Come on. Thanks for the review, Eva. :techie-studyingbrown:

Caarna shares her spirituality and beliefs. This book shows how she lives her best life. It's an inspiration. Even if you don't believe everything that she does, her happiness and success is enough to give you hope.

When reading with an open mind, today's BOTD sounds like one many will find inspiring and beneficial to their overall well-being and happiness. I'm interested in the area that focuses on "present moment awareness." I think I tend to dwell on the "what ifs" and "what could/should haves" way too often, which then steers me away from the purposeful path I'd been walking. I also like the idea of accepting the good and the bad, as well as facing our fears. If we don't embrace "the bad," we aren't able to fully understand and appreciate "the good," and if we don't face our fears, we will never have growth. I agree that human potential has no limits. However, I think our fear of the unknown holds us back from exercising it to the fullest extent. I've added this one to my WTR list. Thank you for your thorough review! It was very well written and helpful! :-)

Living in the Space of Light contains twenty-one chapters, each describing an aspect or practice essential to living a life of Spirit and light. The section on love proclaims, “Loving who you are is the most empowering thing you will ever do for yourself, your life here, and those around you.” Caarna teaches that love in all forms has infinite healing potential and is known to reduce stress, reduce pain, and provide an overall sense of well being.

Happiness, for Caarna, is the result of conscious life choices and is built on a foundation of five aspects: community, gratitude, optimism, present moment awareness, and a sense of purpose.

Caarna states in the introduction, “Human potential is infinite. Your potential has no limits.” Go out there and exercise your potential!
Though Caarna does not follow traditional Christianity, I like her thoughts on light and love. Sometimes thinking out of the box, helps us to be a much better person. The healing effects of love, as you mentioned above, are amazing!

Spiritual and motivational books are not my cup of tea, but several ideas presented in the book appeal to me, like we ourselves invite different circumstances to our lives; we should not rely on other peoiple but value and trust our own intuition; love and happiness can help us overcome a lot of problems and others. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Nice detailed and insightful review. I am quite close minded about religion especially when the practices described sound unbiblical so I am afraid I will not be checking this one out. Dark cupboards...inner light affecting the elements? Cheers!

Therefore, this book is not for me. Thanks for sharing the information, though. I did enjoy your review!
My thoughts exactly. I also appreciate the excellent review.

This is a non-fiction book and it discusses the spirituality in our lives and how to use its power to heal our bodies. The book covers the methods and gives some rules about how to live our lives to achieve a spiritual fulfillment.

Caarna has given a formula for happiness in this book, she gives great emphasis on the point that happiness is the result of five aspects: community, gratitude, optimism, present moment awareness, and a sense of purpose. Overall an interesting book and it is enlightening.

This sounds like an interesting read! Thank you for the thorough review. I sampled a bit of the book and it flows nicely and is relaxing to read. I was reminded at times of my Buddhism class and some of the topics our professor would talk about while we practiced mindfulness and meditation. I think anyone looking for a new perspective could enjoy this.

My goodness, sorry but the review is too long for me to read. However, while I believe in God, this is not my kind of spiritual awakening in choosing to use my God-given talents for His glory! Therefore, I pass! Best wishes to the author on the #BOTD 🕯

This looks like a captivating inspirational book. Self awareness is a gift, and the author understanding her light filling the world sounds like a wonderful read.

Even though I do believe in the power of love - sang it, Huey Lewis! - I don't have any interest in this guide for "living a life of Spirit and light". I also can't foresee myself ever being grateful for the difficulties in my life!... Thanks for the thorough review, though.

Very inspiring and influential but may also not be everyone's cup of tea because of the diversity and contradictory beliefs different religions hold
