This sounds like it'll be an interesting read. I'll surely enjoy the romance element, alternate realities and the realistic characters. Nice review.

Wow, such a balanced and well written review. I might pass up on reading the book though. Good job.

The concept of two realities is interesting, but it would have to be carefully done to not get confusing, to keep the realities distinct, and to not get too redundant. The fact that Herai gets off to a slow start is definitely a deterrent for me. Not sure I would enjoy this one.

Anything that has such an awesome and exclusive narrative is good by me. Guess I'll be adding this one to my TBR list.

It would be interesting to see events unfold in two parallel universes. Hirai is beat up in one but is asking for peace in the other.

This sounds like an intriguing story. Thanks for the review! I’m glad you mention the beginning of the book doesn’t do justice to the quality of it in its entirety...because I didn’t love the sample. But as they say, don’t judge a book by its cover 😉

Although Aaron Key's "Herai" did not initially capture one's attention from chapter one, I am glad to hear that the story became worthy of the reader's time investment.

Based on the review, the author seems to masterfully captivate the reader's interest with relatable characters and great plot twists within the alternate realities. I admire the level of creativity in Key's first published work!

Superb review! I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I doubt this is the book for me though because I like books that pull me in from the beginning. My TBR list is far too long anyway so, I'll have to pass. Thank you for the recommendation. :D

Key got really creative with this book and guess he captures the readers attention more and more as they read. The story about the alternate realities. The difficulties Hirai faces and would want to know who was behind her attack. Looking forward to read this and it's sequel though not so soon. Great review

This seems like quite an interesting read. I've always liked the concept of alternate realities. It's also great to hear that the characters are so realistic and well-written, and that the plot maintains great emotional and intellectual suspense. You did a great job with your review. It made me really want to read this book in the near future.

A very good review of this book. I appreciate being able to read it and get a good summary of the book, because I had a difficult time getting intersted in the book as the reviewer already suggested. This kind of book is not something I would read, but I know there are many who would love it. Congratulations fro the BOTD!
