I love Stephen King, and a lot of horror and thriller books have really good storylines, but I am a total chicken. I refuse to read It, even though I'm sure it's really good. I just know I would see the clown around every corner. I binge read a bunch of Stephen King books in high school, but I had to stop reading after a certain time of day. Scary stuff is scarier after dark. I watched a Stephen King movie while home alone once. It was broad daylight, but I still had to huddle under a blanket while cuddling my cat to watch it. Some of us are just not cut out for horror.

I remember when I first read 'And there were none' by Agatha Christie which is a horror novel. It was quite a scare though I tried not to get nightmares from it

On another note, I am waiting to start It, mainly because that thing is enormous, 1153 pages! My arms just can't take it right now.

Instead, I started Steve Alten's Meg.
It's about a scientist who discovers that the megalodon never really went extinct.

Maybe when I finish it (I already have a decent start on it), I'll feel like lifting weights ... uh, I mean, reading It.

It is so long! I read a bit of it, but my ever-growing list keeps getting bigger. I definitely won't have it read for this month, unfortunately. But, one day, I will!

Grreat series. The MEG was a successful movie as well as a good read. Steve Alten is a great guy and excellent writer. My aunt produced the movie.
