Thanks for the kind words. As for the author, I agree that she deserves to be recognized! This is the second book that I've read and reviewed by this author. Both were engrossing reads.debo9967 wrote:Brilliant review, as always! The book is surely an engaging read. Congratulations to the author!

That's nice to hear! The only thing I wish the author would have done is create a separate title/subtitle for each installment, instead of Behind Closed Doors 1 and Behind Closed Doors 2.ALynnPowers wrote:I have seen good things about this book on Facebook already!!!

You have twice mentioned the absence of graphic or explicit sex scenes in this book. That is one of the most important factors to me when looking at reading a book like this. I understand that there is a market for erotica, but it's not my cup of tea and I loathe being bombarded by it when I try a new author. My thanks to this author for keeping the story real and not filling the pages with sexual narrative. Also to bookowlie for a great review!!bookowlie wrote:I do have to warn you...the topics explored in both books are harsh. The first book (the topic discussed here) deals with the effects of childhood sexual abuse by a relative. The second book deals with familial sex trafficking. That being said, there are almost no graphic sex scenes and the subject matter is handled with great sensitivity.

Thanks. I also don't like being hit over the head with graphic sex scenes, particularly when it involves child sexual abuse.jacnthabox wrote:You have twice mentioned the absence of graphic or explicit sex scenes in this book.
