A Bloody Book by Chris Bowen is about a child named Max with little care of his actions, school, or his life. When Mrs. Spencer had finally retired, a new teacher had arrived in so-called "Reading Hell". Soon the new teacher, though explosive and unpredictable, found his way to reel in the students attention, and resurfaced every pain the class experienced in their lives, especially what Max felt in his childhood. Unearthing his guilt, broken dreams of becoming "normal", and reality of his sad life.

I love all the characters in the story. Very realistic characters with real genuine pain behind them. The theme is well-delivered and didn't felt like a story at all. I love the twist in the end.

Bad aspect? There's a few problems with it, moments when things trail off from the main point, had 2-3 misspellings, and the story was too simple. It's easy and direct, but not much excitement save for the twist in the end.

3 out of 4 stars for a beautifully done book. Not-so-perfect on the editing, but great read.

Would recommend to teens with problematic backgrounds. Those who wants to find a little inspiration or who wants to have an eye-opener in their lives. This book is very relatable to beaten down kids and adults struggling from their childhood.
