Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

Well, apart from the simulation technology, it was all very familiar. It was only that technology that felt too advanced to be generally available at the beginning of the next decade.

The futuristic setting in Anticipation Day felt like a fascinating blend of realism and speculation. The core concept was imaginative but grounded in current conversations around AI and mental health. The world-building leaned heavily on familiar environments, like suburban neighborhoods and recognizable social dynamics, which made simulation technology feel more accessible.

Not all futuristic books have that "real-life feeling" when you are reading. They need to have situations that could potentially happen in real life. 'Anticipation Day: What Would You Do?' has that feeling that the simulations could actually occur.

A lot of it felt pretty believable. The simulations were the only thing that felt a little far-fetched to me, but even that could happen someday.
