The book deals with a lot of themes in which one is the bond of friendship. In this book we see Will gathering a lot of friends in not only people but animals as well and these friends are the ones who help him pull through the quests and achieve his goal not much unlike real life. What is your take on this?

I liked that the book showed that Will had a lot of help. It really made relationships and friendships very important. Without these friendships, Will would not have succeeded. It’s also nice to show that you can’t do everything yourself and that you need other people sometimes.

I feel like this particular aspect is reminiscent of the typical fairytale plot. The protagonist leaves on a quest and gathers many friends along the way. I really like this type of plotline, I love reading about camaraderie in hardship, something not so often found in the day to day life.

I appreciated the sacrifices they were willing to make for each other. Having a group of characters allowed us to see the love they shared instead of focusing on just a lone protagonist.
