Don't Mind Me, I'm Just Having a Bad Life" by Lewis Kempfer. The first few chapters are heartbreaking and I am not sure I want to read the rest of the story. Thanks for the review which was informative.

This seems like a great memoir. The repercussion of our life event affects us and they leave a mark. I will love to read this. Nice review.

I agree that it sounds like the author was very brave in sharing all of his demons with the reader. I hope it has helped him deal with those demons and move on.

There's no worse feeling than being rejected by your own biological parents. I feel for Lewis Kempfer for being rejected by his biological father and the hurdles he went through. Don't Mind Me, I'm Just Having a Bad Life by Lewis Kempfer sounds pretty amazing and I will love to read it. Great review.

Thanks for the excellent review! What a sad story the author has. The old adage that no one knows what goes on behind closed doors is very true. This sounds like a very emotional read. I hope writing it helped the author come to terms with his life.

Lewis had a terrible time and even more horrible was the treatment of his disappointing father and as an adult he looked for an substitute father.
such turns and twists do come and horrible challenges do come in the life of people, who by dint of their patience overcome that

I applaud the author's courage for writing this very raw memoir. It's appalling what havoc bad parenting creates for children. Happy to see him rise above these struggles through the grace of Jesus Christ.

His life seemed eventful, finding, humorous even in the midst of difficulties. There are always learnings to be had from these true stories. The book cover is interesting which added to the interesting stories inside. Congrats!

This book starts out candid and honest. I know there are others out there with similar upbringings. I applaud his bravery for writing his story. I also applaud him for not being afraid to admit his faith. I think the people in his life definitely shaped who he became. He could have taken a completely different path. By choosing to write about it, as the reviewer mentioned, he can help us be aware of our own actions with our children. This is definitely one I want to finish, no matter how difficult it will be. He needed to write it and I feel an obligation to read it.

This book sounds so heartbreaking. Sometimes, I think that parenting isn't for everyone. Some people just don't have love in their heart, and having their own children isn't going to suddenly make it appear. I'm so sorry for what Kempfer had to go through but I'm glad he came out victorious in the end. God help us all. Thanks for the review.

I find the title of the book eye-catching that intrigues the reader to grab a copy ASAP. I like that the author chipped in words that entertain the reader when reading painful scenes. I will consider the book. Great review.

I’m happy to hear the way in which God helped this man overcome some of the pain in his life. It’s a sad story infused with hope.

I understand from the review that the author finally came to terms with himself and that reassured me. There was no humor in the sample, and I am happy that further on there is something to enlighten the gloom of an unhappy childhood.
I recognize myself in the lack of love for one's own person. It can be, indeed the cause of much suffering.
A great review, thank you!
