The descriptions in the book were awesome. I think he was writing from experience, right? I was looking for a clue that this was a memoir-type piece but I couldn't find anything.
You have some good excuses to go to great places! Yes, I believe the author is a travel blogger in addition to an author, so I assume he's probably been to the locations he's writing about. Being a travel blogger would be a dream job for me!
Wow I thought for sure it was a real story of the men. He did really well with this.

The only places I've been outside of the United States are Alberta, Canada, and Tijuana, Mexico. I wanted to travel, but it never happened. Lack of money, and now lack of physical ability.

I have never been to any of the places stated in the book but I've always wanted to go to Peru.

I've ever been outside of the US but want to go to New Zealand and Iceland after reading this book. Also want to visit Japan, but I've wanted that for years.

This is on our bucket list too. My husband and I were planning to go do the Inca trail, but our daughter wants to come with us :shock2: so we will have to wait until she's old enough to keep up. Hope I'm not too old by then!
I wouldn´t leave it too long... once your daughter is old eough to keep up you may find she wants to go with her friends and not her beloved mater and pater

Don't delay. One never knows when life may take a turn and make adventuring impossible. In which case books might substitute a little.

I live in Japan! :) I've been here for long enough that I'm starting to get used to some of the sights, but it's always nice to read about things from other people's perspectives! It helps me fall back in love with my surroundings, too.

I've been to both Busan and Seoul, South Korea. The Man Mission locations all seem very amazing, and I would love to go to each one! This book is the dream of any person infatuated with cultures and languages, and even to those who crave a 'great escape' from reality.

I have not been to any of the locations but after reading this book, I would love to visit each and every one. The author does an amazing job describing the environment and making me want to take a trip.

The only place that I have been to is South Africa. I wish I could say that I have been to Krueger national park, but I can't. However, the reaction of the elephant to Alec and the camera is something that game rangers warn one about on safari.

I haven't been to any of the places where the missions took place and I wish I could go see them! Especially Peru and Fiji.

I haven't been to any of the locations that are in the book, but because of his description of Australia, I'd love to go there. It's a shame that they're having such a terrible time now but I'm sure they'll recover.

I had the same feeling! South America has never been on my list to visit, but the descriptions kind of make me want to go there.
