Your review gives all the important information for a prospective reader.
I have also learned about "opera" as a subgenre of the sci-fi genre.
However, the chain of causality in some of your arguments is weak, like in:
The protagonists are mostly humans, and that gives us the idea of their difficulties in dealing with aliens.
.
Also, repeating the same structure "and that gives us the idea" a very short distance is a bit tiresome.
Thank you for the review!

Enemy Immortal by Jim Meeks-Johnson sounds really interesting but I will have to skip it because it's not my cup of tea. I will recommend it. Congrats on the BOTD. Great review.
Books are beautiful.

The official name of this subgenre is space opera, but it is definitely full of adventure. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you for your advice. Sometimes I get suggestions for a better phrasing from the editors, I'll try to apply them.

This looks like the classic sci-fi graphic novels I read as a kid. Loved your review. Will be adding it to my tbr and reading it soon. 😊

Very interesting. I wonder how humans deal with an enemy from space and the communication barriers. Thanks for the review.

In a way it probably is, just without the comic part. Thank you for your appreciation. :)

This book sounds like a great fantasy read. Although it starts out a little gory with the alien eating the Wolfen, the review promises it to continue to be a good read with well-developed characters and an interesting plot.

Aliens and space opera is not my cup of coffee, however, your review was great to explain the book briefly.

An engaging space opera that sci-fi fans will enjoy. The author has developed the non-humanoid characters impressively alongside the human protagonists. Readers can look forward to a story full of action and twists. Thank you for your review.

Excellent review! Sci-Fi is not my first choice for a book, so I don't plan to read this book. However, I love the cover. The green earth really captured my attention. And the space vessel in front of the green earth (and whatever that is above it) is really cool. I appreciated learning what the space opera sub-genre is! I had never heard that term. The opening pages about umlac in the feeding pit made me queasy! But I can see how space exploration of other universes would definitely appeal to some people. This book is clearly well written - it is just not for me. Congratulations on being the BOTD!
