Re: Official Review: The Power of Small Habits
I haven't read The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, but a good self-help book can indeed make a lot of difference. Thank you for your appreciation!LinaMueller wrote: ↑25 Apr 2020, 15:51 Self-help books are great. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey was one of the most important books of my life. The Power of Small Habits seems to be a great read as well. Thanks for your fantastic review, NetMassimo.![]()

Yes, the great thing is that anyone can do it because any single change is easy if you do it seriously. Thank you for your appreciation!AvidBibliophile wrote: ↑25 Apr 2020, 18:19 Habitual spirals of negativity can always be overcome! Sounds like this title does a worthwhile job of breaking down positive reinforcement techniques into manageable bites. Thanks for your honest and helpful review of this one!

Honestly, I'm not sure what habits they follow. I mean, the book's author didn't interview them, he just mentioned them briefly. Thank you for your appreciation.

It's certainly useful thanks to the author's very practical approach. You can start with the changes that come easier then continue step by step with more difficult changes.FaithMO19 wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 04:51 I totally agree that humans are creatures of habits. It is for this reason that some of us find it difficult to break free from things we know we shouldn't hold on to. I'm sure this book will be really helpful with knowing how to improve our habits. I hope a lot of people get to read this book.

Yes, absolutely. I can relate to it being about the individual and going at one's own pace. I find this book and your review interesting because, incidentally, I am in the process of trying to develop good small habits. I'd listened to a podcast on tiny habits and was inspired to try it out. I guess this is similar to what I would have heard on the podcast.NetMassimo wrote: ↑14 Apr 2020, 10:07It's absolutely up to the individual to have the willpower to implement a change from bad habits to good habits, so your version of the title, The Power Over Small Bad Habits, is correct. Thank you for your appreciation!Caribqueen16 wrote: ↑14 Apr 2020, 08:48 A healthy mind in a healthy body. A very wise saying. The author's advice is what is given every day, but is the individual person willing to implement this change. The Power of Small Habits could be The Power Over Small Bad Habits. The individual first has to mentally prepare himself/herself for what may seem a herculean task, as it is a lifetime of a certain bad habit that is being practiced. Each person has to go at his/her own pace as the author states that it can be a painful and bumpy road. I like your review and can relate to your positive criticisms.
Thank you for another great review!
