Indeed, when the characters get our attention it's hard to stop reading. You always want to know what is going to happen to them. Thanks for your comment!daphne_asir wrote: ↑17 Jun 2020, 05:23 I've always loved books with amazing characters! This sounds like a great read. Thanks for the review.

It really is pretty engaging, I couldn't stop reading it! It's an amazing thing when this happens. Thanks for your comment!Standor5865 wrote: ↑17 Jun 2020, 05:42 A missing son and a murdered wife sounds heavy. I wonder if the main character will be able to focus on his mission. The book sounds engaging.

It's really sad when you don't get to know what happened to a character, but in this case, I enjoyed the book in spite of it. Thanks for your comment!kaylac03 wrote: ↑17 Jun 2020, 13:19 This truly sounds like a gripping story, though I'm surprised to hear that a character arc in it was left untied. That's almost always off-putting for me, even more so when the characters are fleshed out well. While your review has piqued my interest in this book, I think I'll skip it for now, as I'm not too keen to deal with the triggers you mentioned at this time. I appreciate you bringing them up. Thank you for the thorough review!

I really enjoyed the relationship between Peter and Boriana, I don't know how it would be different if this happened. I haven't thought about it, it's an interesting question. Thanks for the comment!Kanda_theGreat wrote: ↑18 Jun 2020, 01:50 I had really hoped that Peter would reunite with his wife, but the author must have had his reasons for not including that in the plot, now that an intimate bond was forged betwen Peter and Boriana.
I enjoyed your review, thanks.

It's really sad that it ended that way, indeed. She was a character that had a great potential. Thanks for your comment!
