When I first read the premise, I was a little skeptical about whether I would really enjoy this book or not. Your review did help me understand the book better. I'm still not sure if it is really my thing, but I am definitely more willing to try it. Thanks for a great review!

My interest is in what happened to John to make him change so drastically. Did he go mad or was it the bed and the Hand of God? Thank you for the review.

Only the genre type is enough to make me readily read the book . But the whole review represents that the book actually has more than one can ask for. It's a really interesting book for me to work out my mind. Congrats to the author .

It's a story about a guy bored and stressed to death (well, almost) by his corporate job. He had to go everyday to his office and do the job he didn't like, if not hated, just because it was a job, a right thing to do to support himself. Everyone has to do it and there seams no escape from that.

Looking at this story from this perspective, I have a lot of sympathy and understanding for John. The spirituality is a good thing as well. The absurdity as the style of this narrative is a good idea too as otherwise it would be a heavy-loaded and dull book. However, while I like the character and the main problem discussed in this story, this book is still not for me. Its language, its fancy development of that spirituality theme are just not to my taste. I've read the free sample but I wouldn't be willing to read a full book even if it's free.

The #BOTD has me interested in finding out what type of "experience" John had that made him decide to become an evangelical church founder. I believe nobody wastes their life because our actions or lack thereof always leaves an impression upon others. Great review!

I have to admit that this is my first time hearing of 'absurdist fiction' – sounds like a very interesting concept! This book definitely doesn't seem like your typical fiction tale. Thanks for the great review!

" All this changes when he tries out a bed at Le Bed Shoppe and has an unbelievable experience that leads to his enlightenment." - there is a movie just like this. And a Church that revolves around beds...many people would enjoy it...sleeping.
Thank you for the insightful review.

I love the sound of this original work. The question whether he was enlightened or whether he went mad is interesting too and either way, did he manage to help and uplift people. Sounds like a fun and unique book. Thanks for a great review.

Not a fan of this fiction. However John seems to have gotten his life figured in the magical bed or not? I think the book is interesting and full of mystery. Thanks for this intriguing review.

Thanks for the review! I think this one might be a little too out there for me, but maybe someday I'll give it a read, especially since it does sound very thought-provoking.

Interesting and intriguing concept that John innocently tries out a bed and it changes his life! I don't read books about magic, but it sounds like an interesting read. I do like the fact that it has humor in it. I am going to have to pass though due to the magic and also the profanity. Awesome review, thanks!

On the Steps of St. Dymphn is a brilliant and thought-provoking novel centered around John's life. John is one character many Christian believers would love to emulate. This is an excellently written review. Congratulations on BOTD.

This is my first encounter with an absurdist fictional novel. It seems to be quite intriguing and creative. I like how the protagonist 'finds' himself, and works towards spreading his new found joy and realizations. Nevertheless, I'll pass on today's BOTD.
