As a non-manager, I appreciate the section dedicated to the prospective readers: in-service and would-be managers are mentioned with the benefits the book brings to all.
The other sections are also important and so is your mentioning them, such as the one about mistakes. Mistakes are a valuable source of learning, indeed.
I envy you for your eagerness to read the book over and over again.

In a manner, I have managed people in volunteer organizations; if you think that isn't a major headache, then think again. Imagine having to influence people from different backgrounds and work ethics, to complete an assignment, having to work long hours, without pay, and you can see what a struggle it might be to overcome.
However, once it all comes together, it makes you proud not only of yourself, but of those that you were able to influence.
This is an excellent book, as it makes you consider the possibilities...
