What I like is that this book is a story of the author's actual life experiences and not some textbook theories and concepts that readers may find difficult to apply in real life.

The author's discovery of his musical abilities at age 62 is impressionable. It shows that it's never too late for self-discovery.

On a lighter note, Mastran went from military to management and then to music... I can't help but wonder what is his deal with the letter 'M'.

This book is about management, and I applaud the author for his skill and experience in this area. I myself have never been a manager, and I never want to be. Who would want that much responsibility and headaches? I have been a supervisor of 50 people in a work center before, and believe me, that was experience enough for a lifetime.

In a manner, I have managed people in volunteer organizations; if you think that isn't a major headache, then think again. Imagine having to influence people from different backgrounds and work ethics, to complete an assignment, having to work long hours, without pay, and you can see what a struggle it might be to overcome.

However, once it all comes together, it makes you proud not only of yourself, but of those that you were able to influence.

This is an excellent book, as it makes you consider the possibilities...

The author seems very knowledgeable. While these types of books don’t typically intrigue me, I always admire people who can write educational novels like this. I did like how he went over the history of management. That’s not something I’ve ever thought of and it was interesting to think on. Definitely sounds like this would be a useful read for anyone needing advice on management.

I could have used this book back in the day before I retired from the workforce. This appears to be a terrific approach toward management and back then would have been a worthwhile addition to my collection of management and leadership books.
