Walt Disney was a truly inspiring entrepreneur. His tactics and practices are worth emulating. This book does a good job teaching his way to others. I like that it's organized and edited.

I am in no way involved in marketing and the probability of ever getting involved in one is very very low, especially for the next few years. So I'm gonna pass this one.

But it does seem like quite an interesting read. I mean it's not every day that you see someone telling you to follow in THE footprints of the Walt Disney.

Walt Disney is such a well known name but the methods of his success aren’t really discussed. I hope some aspiring entrepreneurs find some helpful tips in this book!

This is an educational non-fiction self-help book highlighting entrepreneurship, marketing, small business, and Walt Disney. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats @Andrewlock on the BOTD selection.

Though I am not business-oriented or business-minded, the author made several good points that made me think. For one, the author gave the example of how he had reserved an SUV from a rental company, yet there were no SUV's available when he arrived. The company only had mini-vans available and made no attempt to satisfy the customer, which was interpreted as poor customer service. Something the author mentioned that the Disney corporation would never tolerate.

The author repeated the following quote: "It's not about directly adopting what Disney does in their business, it's about adapting the lessons for your business."

For anyone considering starting their own business, or maybe just improving how they do business, this book will provide some good no-nonsense advice and is an enjoyable read.

I like the idea of the quotes for each chapter but I don't think Mr. Disney should be taken as an example. He was the only one in the entertainment industry to receive Leni Riefenstahl, Hitler's filmmaker, and he treated his employees poorly.
Your review is great, anyway.

This sounds like an excellent self-help book for those who are building their own business! Few have been as successful as Walt Disney, so utilizing his decisions I would say would be a very smart move! Thanks for the excellent review!

Learning from the methods or practices applied by Walt Disney to build his business empire seems very interesting and useful; especially for those who own a business or want to start one. I'd like to take a look.

An antrepreneur such as Walt Disney is definitely one that most people would want to know about. I'm a little curious, but business is not my thing.

Very insightful for those in business. We are all in business one way or the other, so yes, it applies. I pick one concept: work to retain customers. New customers may come and go, but those that have developed trust and worth in you will come over and over. Lock has done justice to Marketing using Walt Disney business peculiarities. Thank you BOTD.
