I agree that having this as a stand alone really helps. Sometimes I don't want to invest in a series. This way I can either dive into the series or just enjoy the book as is. Thank you for your comment.

I also thought the poem was an obvious clue, and I kind of had my suspicions from the start about who the killer was. Still not disappointed, it is a wonderful book. Thanks for the awesome review.

Right? Isn't it nice when reading mysteries that the clues point you in a direction? It can be frustrating when the clues given could be anyone. These clues are subtle enough to build the suspense but become obvious when the the mystery is solved. Hope you get a chance to read it. Thank you for your comment.

I like that the author gathered courage and wrote about some taboo topics. There are few writers who would take a risk with this type of content.
