I agree that having this as a stand alone really helps. Sometimes I don't want to invest in a series. This way I can either dive into the series or just enjoy the book as is. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you for your comment. I look forward to reading the next book in the series (especially if it is as good as this one).

Thank you for the comment. It was wonderful and isn't it great when you have a suspect as your read? Then you get to see if the evidence leads you to your suspect.

This seems like an intriguing mystery, though I'd have to get prepared before reading it considering the tough contents. Thank you for your great review!

I love mysteries that give us little clues along the way. This sounds like one that I would love. Thanks for your well-written and informative review!

It is definitely worth the read but agree you really need to be in a certain mindset before picking it up. Thank you for your comment.

Right? Isn't it nice when reading mysteries that the clues point you in a direction? It can be frustrating when the clues given could be anyone. These clues are subtle enough to build the suspense but become obvious when the the mystery is solved. Hope you get a chance to read it. Thank you for your comment.

I love this genre, so I'm excited to hear that this book is well written and professionally edited. I agree that it can be annoying in a mystery genre for obvious clues to be missed by seemingly otherwise intelligent characters. Thank you for this review!

I am always hesitant to read mysteries and thrillers but this one was fantastic. It made me want to read more of the genre. Do you have a favourite mystery writer? Thank you for your comment.

I like that the author gathered courage and wrote about some taboo topics. There are few writers who would take a risk with this type of content.
