I would read this book. Historical romance offers both factual experiences mixed with love. Code-switching is a reality and it does occur when someone is not from a particular culture. Thank you for your review.

I enjoy historical fiction and this one was no exception. Slavery was a big issue and mixing it with a forbidden romance is riveting. Thank you for a great review.

Owning another person is wrong and makes me sick. This book at its heart is a romance and I just don’t like those. I do, however, like to play the piano and understand Lily’s fascination with it.

I am curious how what was meant to be Lily’s punishment turns out to be a blessing, throwing her on a dramatic journey with some people of great power. I am a fan of historical fiction, and I can't wait to read this. Thanks for the recommendation!

The plot sounds unique and I’d love to see what happens and how things work out in Lily. It feels like an emotional read which makes it more intriguing.

I enjoyed the historical romance. Although Lily is trapped in the life of a slave, she is not without friends, one such friend being her master’s son, James. This is a very engaging plot.

It seems as if the author did a great job at developing all of the characters, not just the main ones. Although I don't normally go for romance reads, I think I'll have to give this one a try. Thank you for your review!

I am not into historical romantic fiction so the subject matter doesnt entice me in the least. I think I would be given this one pass, unfortunately.

After reading this review, I feel motivated to read this book. The positive aspects of the book are encouraging especially the adventure and romantic theme woven in the storyline. I'm curious to see what happens to Lily and what it is like to live her life as a slave who also has a talent for playing the piano. Congrats on the BOTD!

The story, certainly, sounds intriguing, and the thing I like most about it is the emotions it evokes. The development of the characters seems brilliant as well. Thanks for the review.

At first, when I saw the book cover, I lost interest but when I started reading, I realised that it isn't good to judge a book by it's cover. I really love this book and I will definitely finish reading it.

A lovely blend of romance and history in the book book "The Prodigy Slave, Book One: Journey to Winter Garden" by Londyn Skye, which focuses on Lily, who is on a pursuit to find her mother. She got separated from her mother after getting sold at an auction. Luckily, her master's son begins to like her. The book appears quite entertaining.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.
