I absolutely agree with you! You made a great point that entrepreneurs need to do more research and plan their retirement more carefully. I think one of the great things of being self-employed is that entrepreneurs can choose whether they want to retire or continue working.bishop_444 wrote: ↑01 Jul 2022, 16:19 Absolutely! I think entrepreneurs just have to do a bit more planning than people working as employees at a company. Also, entrepreneurs need to do more research to find a retirement plan that best suit their lives. But all-in-all, it is completely doable and should be done at a younger age so there will be more to work with in the end.

doesn't just wake up one morning and say, I want to be an entrepreneur. Building up something you dream of everyday is not easy. Retiring in some people won't work. It gives joy saying your projects
Bullish.

I agree with your statement on control. I have read that most successful businesses take the next step when the owner hires someone else to be the CEO. In that case, a fruitful endeavour can easily become passive income, allowing an early retirement.Phooko Tebogo PC wrote: ↑20 Jul 2022, 18:59 Everybody deserves a brake at some point in life, so yes the entrepreneurs too needs to retire. Although it may take far more planning than those who retire from being employees, but overall the entrepreneurs also need a brake off from being in control of things.

So, I think entrepreneurs can retire when they deem it necessary. There's no law against entrepreneurs retiring. It's more of a personal decision.

I think that would depend on your definition of retirement. Some persons see it as a means of relaxing and slowing declining to old age.Kelsey_Roy wrote: ↑08 Jul 2022, 16:54 Can one even afford to retire in this economy? I figure, if I can find a “job” that I enjoy, retirement will just have to be scaling back, less hours, more vacations!
