I believe that entrepreneurs should also retire. If a person is self-employed, it does not mean that they don't work hard enough or don't need to retire. In most cases, entrepreneurs work really hard and need to take the break they deserve if that's what they want. I think one of the best things of been an entrepreneur is that they can choose which option suits them best. It is up to the person whether they want to continue working or retire.

Also, entrepreneurs need to do more research to find a retirement plan that best suit their lives. But all-in-all, it is completely doable and should be done at a younger age so there will be more to work with in the end.
I absolutely agree with you! You made a great point that entrepreneurs need to do more research and plan their retirement more carefully. I think one of the great things of being self-employed is that entrepreneurs can choose whether they want to retire or continue working.

I think it depends on the person, being an entrepreneur is something like in blood. Someone
doesn't just wake up one morning and say, I want to be an entrepreneur. Building up something you dream of everyday is not easy. Retiring in some people won't work. It gives joy saying your projects
Bullish.

I have always thought the idea behind entrepreneurship and being self-employed is to make your money fast and retire young. The financial freedom which comes with being your own boss should actually allow that. So yes, even those who are self-employed should retire.

Although it may take far more planning than those who retire from being employees, but overall the entrepreneurs also need a brake off from being in control of things.
I agree with your statement on control. I have read that most successful businesses take the next step when the owner hires someone else to be the CEO. In that case, a fruitful endeavour can easily become passive income, allowing an early retirement.

Retirement for self-employed should come in stages that are as you grow older you should delegate more duties to others, but not like the employed who stop working altogether

Definitely, entrepreneur should also retire. Retirement means taking hands off that daily task you normally do. The self-employed also need to rest. So my short answer is yes. Everyone deserves retirement

I think a lot of persons confuse retirement for senescence. There's nothing stopping you from retiring irrespective of your age or portfolio.
So, I think entrepreneurs can retire when they deem it necessary. There's no law against entrepreneurs retiring. It's more of a personal decision.

I think that would depend on your definition of retirement. Some persons see it as a means of relaxing and slowing declining to old age.

As an entrepreneur myself I think there would be a time when one should retire from active work. I agree that there should be retirement even for self employed people like myself.

I don't think retirement is something everyone is going to want to do. If you genuinely love what you do and it fulfils you like nothing else in your life you should continue doing it until you want to stop.

If you still have the intrest and energy to keep working, go on keep working. If you feel that you're tired of this busy life and you need to take a break and enjoy your life then you can think about retirement.

Retirement is a luxury not everyone has access to, but it's also a personal decision. Nobody "should" retire because someone else says it's "time".

Enterpreneurs though free from the shackles of the 9 to 5 are still in the trap their own minds set for them to spend each minute working on their goals. Mini retirements should be normalized and time shoud be taken out for oneself
