I think it was multiple factors but even 10 years later I have still never stepped foot inside a church except for funerals and weddings. I honestly don’t know if I can forgive and move back to my faith. It has evolved and changed.
I may not understand exactly how you felt, but I know that everything God plans is for the best. Yes, we might not understand immediately, but there is always a light at the end. I am so sorry, by the way.

Most people give up on God when they feel like He does not know what they are going through or He is not replying to them on time. It's so sad, but I think we should exercise our faith more.

True. For instance, when people lose their loved ones, they feel like God is punishing them in some way, which is not the case.

Many become Christians for God to grant them certain favours, so when tragedy comes their way, they don't think twice about God. Its true.

Most people lose their faith in God after a traumatic experience because they believe if they are serving and doing the will of God then he shouldn't have allowed such a traumatic experience befall them.

We are all humans, and on occasion we tend to distance ourselves from God due to the difficulties we face, not realizing that this is when we need God the most.

People easily give up their faith in God when faced with extreme issues. Most times it seems like the whole concept of God being a caring God is not true but he's still God.

I understand that traumatic experiences can make one loose their faith. It’s one of the major reasons why people stop believing in God. As someone who grew up believing in God, I’ve encountered experiences that made my faith falter but that didn’t last long. I discovered that not trusting God to handle the situation made me feel more helpless and depressed so I built up my faith back and continued to trust in God. That alone gave me hope and I later understood that the problem was just a test of my faith.

How often people lose their faith in God after a traumatic experience, if I would say, depends on the personality of the persons involved and the genuineness of their faith in God. There are people that have absolute faith and trust in God, as seen in the life of Abraham. Such people can sacrifice and endure any situation for the sake of God. And then there are people who base their faith in God on "convenience." When it's no longer favourable to them, they back out. And so, a lot of people are impressed with Ron's absolute faith in God (despite the several challenges he was facing) because his action is an inspiration and an encouragement to the ideal Christian life.

It depends on the personality, how they handle the situations, and how they handle their mental health, and so on. But I think nowadays since many people already do not have faith in God from the beginning, maybe the question is, how often do people go back to believe in God after a traumatic experience?

I think you will be able to relate more if you have actually experienced what the character went through. It is not as easy to maintain hope and faith whether in God or not. Humans tend to give up with perseverance and faith and that is what is there to admire.

Even the Israelites lost their faith in God after they seemed to have been abandoned in the wilderness with no water. It is very difficult a test to stand if you called God for help and the help didn't come. That is why we celebrate those who had the perseverance to still believe in God even against all odds.

Tripodo's faith is a believer faith not just a Christian faith, why some people tend to lose their faith when going through a traumatic situation is because they are been religious. Faith is a major element in christianity. Being a christian doesn't mean there won't trials and tribulations. There are so many people who has Tripodo kind of faith but not documented
