I enjoy a good mystery, but from the review, I wasn't sure about the storyline. I read the first few chapters and got a better handle on the chain of events that gets the story moving. The author has a fine writing style and a good ear for dialogue. I enjoy stories in which the main characters are long in years but still active, attractive, and eager to solve a mystery. I am sorry to say that this book's plot failed to attract my attention. Insurance, payroll, analysis - all the things the mystery evolves around, sounds very bureaucratic and totally not my cup of tea and I am afraid I won't be able to enjoy reading about them without confusion. Congrats with BOTD, anyway!
