I am happy the book is free today. Mike's story is fascinating and inspiring. Truly, we cannot limit God's power. He healed Mike because of Mike's indomitable spirit.

Your review thoroughly described what to expect from the book. The Hindu legend shared by the author in the sample pages was incredible, and I loved the deep meaning it conveyed. The author's story was beautifully narrated: reliving his past while passing in and out of consciousness in the hospital. I find the author's story immensely inspiring, so I will definitely read the rest of the book. Congratulations on the BOTD! It is a well-deserved recognition.

Sometimes people, like Mike's physical therapist, say things that can seem discouraging as a misguided way to shield us from heartbreak. But I'm glad the author didn't get discouraged and thrived!

Infact to the book is amazing and that's why it is called one step at a time hence so interesting by Michael
His story has touched me because after getting accident he did not give up although the doctors discouraged him but despite all that he had a positive attitude which is a big problem to most of us we who faces challenges and totally looses hope.
Although he lost job and divorced he has been a good lesson to many who sometimes feel they are not worthy when faced by life challenge.
He walked again and has inspired many through other books and he has awards of his good work.
I have learnt we should not give up but have faith and trust in God who was able to heal him again and now is a living example to many.
I rate the book 5 out of 5 for the work well done.
Keep it up Michael and continue inspiring many.

Congrats on BOTD. It's a tough job climbing the mountain, even for healthy people, so the author's determination is quite admirable.

This is such an inspiring read. To all people who go through similar situations and suffer the pain and depression that comes with it, here is a man, a hero, who wouldn't let his circumstances get the better of him. He beat the odds, he proved people wrong. It also signifies the fact that positivity is so important in healing.

I love to read stories of resilience, bravery and going against the odds. Nothing ever beats pushing yourself to break boundaries and achieve your highest potential. Mark's story seems to portray all of that.

The introduction of the review sets the stage nicely by referencing "The Little Engine That Could" and drawing parallels to the author's own journey. It creates intrigue and sets up the reader's expectations for a story of resilience and overcoming obstacles.

The reviewer praises the author's courage, endurance, and perseverance, highlighting these as the most admirable qualities showcased throughout the memoir. It's commendable that Mike's support system, including his friends and family, stood by him during his most challenging times. This emphasizes the importance of a strong support network during difficult circumstances.

The reviewer's mention of the emotional impact of the book adds depth to the review. The specific instances mentioned, such as Randy's discouragement and Mike's first upright seating, show the author's ability to evoke powerful emotions in the reader. It indicates that the memoir effectively conveys the highs and lows of the author's journey.

One Step at a Time: Memoir of a Former Quadriplegic a read of inspiration. A journey of trials from psychologically, physically and even spiritually. It's inspiring to read a memoir of an individual that has faced what they have faced. I think most times we believe we are going through tough times alone, when in truth there is others who face difficulties and sharing that allows for us to encourage one another. Thanks for your review, it beautifully correlates with the book.
