What draws me to the book is its paranormal creatures, living in an era in a very long long past. After reading only a few pages, I felt compelled to follow the main character's adventures on his mission to Pangorn island where supposedly a treasure awaits him.

Emjopin wrote: 16 Jul 2023, 09:09 This extolling and vivid review enthralls us to read this fantasy novel. The title, The Temple of Truth and Lies, challenges readers to magnify, to discern the TRUTH, to depart from the lies. The mysterious characters' ploy evokes parallelism with history and headlines no matter how quasi-magicians intertwine events.
A very relevant entertaining read.
I had missed something important in the title of the book, 'lies.' So it seems as if the temple where a treasure awaits the audacious and fearless, offers more than just a treasure.

A historical fiction review that invites the reader into an ancient civilization with lots of adventure and mysteries to solve. Plenty here to interest many readers of a variety of genres, i.e. fantasy, magic, etc.

It seems like there are a lot of mysterious creatures in the book. The setting in ancient BC must also be amazing to read about the events and organizations of those days. Nice review.

James Duvall has a way with characters, scenery, and names (of both people and things). I particularly like his ability to take us into a world of wonder and fantasy. The Temple of Truth and Lies, with its protagonist as a gallant, young man, Deszarius, who apparently uses magic powder to keep awake, is an action-packed and thrilling book. Although, I'm not so crazy about it because historical fiction has never been able to resonate with me. For lovers of historical fiction and thrilling adventures, this would definitely be a fine read.

Not a fan of history. But this review shows that it could be interesting when there is adventure involved. It has piqued my interest and surely looking forward to reading it in the near future. It depicts different adventures and seeking treasures and fighting scenes. Something that reminded me of the classics "Gulliver's travels" and " The treasure island" something that I read in my childhood. Great review by the way.

"The Temple Of Truth And Lies" by James Duvall is a historical fiction set in the BC era. I like how believably the author of different cultures and societies, as well as the way in which he thought out different characters.
