The author attempts to balance themes such as the family relationships and passage of time with a sense of hope and resilience. The focus on food as a meaning of bringing together the family is heartwarming.

It was well put together, tying up a lot of loose ends in a logical manner. Overall, it was a lovely novel, and its ending made it a great read for me.
- Intriguing and fascinating! This is why I want to listen to it too. A wonderful review. Thank you.

Seems like the main character of this book is just getting swarmed by issues. Might be a good motivation book for me, when I don't feel like even getting off my chair. I am interested in the issues this book showcases.

Just reading the title of this book, "A Week's Worth" by Thyme Lewis, made me think that this was going to be more than just that. I enjoyed your explanative review as it touched on the many things Mac goes through in this story, i.e., his mom's heart attack and thus his need to go to see her, the epidemic that has just started, homelessness, and the murders that are happening in his building. This all sounded more than "a week's work" of occurrences to deal with. I look forward to reading how Mac handles all of these issues as he also bonds with his mom during her illness.

"A Week's Worth" by Thyme Lewis is about Mac's dutiful attempt to rebuild his bond with his ailing mother during a week's vacation. I wish to know how it went with both mother and son. Congrats on BOTD. Beautiful review.

Mystery novels like these are so fun to read. The suspense is excellent and the development of the mother and son relationship is very well written. Congratulations on book of the day!

Unlight" by Chandra Shekhar is a mind-bending psychological science fiction thriller that forces us to confront the stark reality of our own existence. As we delve into a future where the sun has vanished, temperatures plummet, and survival becomes a daunting challenge, the characters of Larry, Elizabeth, Jessica, Anna, and Nicole come to life, facing the unknown together.
What sets this book apart is its seamless blend of science, human emotion, and the intricate relationships between the characters. The author's attention to character development is commendable, showcasing the resilience of humanity even in the direst circumstances. The inclusion of diagrams explaining the eco-friendly and self-sustaining Dome adds an extra layer of understanding to the story.
One standout aspect is Elizabeth's character, who inspires her family to meditate as a coping mechanism. It's a testament to the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

This book teaches a very important lesson, that even when life seems to be falling apart, there is always hope. Mac's relationship with his mother was complicated, but the journey they go on together is a heartwarming reminder that family bonds can be rebuilt and strengthened, no matter what obstacles may stand in the way.The message is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Even if it seems like everything is going wrong, there is always a chance to make things right.

The plot sounds a bit ordinary, but it only makes it more closely tied to reality and easier to see actual people in place of fictional characters. I like such literature, it allows readers to relate and get more involved in the story. Thanks for rec and congrats with BOTD!

The book follows Mac, a former Navy officer, who is attempting to rekindle his relationship with his mother. I especially like that the book deals with modern day issues in a thoughtful way that is both open minded and intriguing as the reader. Congrats on the BOTD!
