Today's BOTD is a fictional novel that follows Mac on a trip to LA to spend time with his mother who had a heart-attack a week ago. Filled with well-developed, realistic characters and relatable situations, readers of mystery, as well as books about family, are sure to enjoy this one! I've added it to my WTR list. Thank you again!

Powell highlights that the book is a fictional mystery about a man "Mac" who leaves his work FEMA for one week to take care of his mother "Sadie" who recently suffered a heart attack. Their relationship has to be rekindled while Mac deals with other issues such as people being murdered in the neighbourhood. The book is an enjoyable read.

I absolutely love that the book is character-driven. It's one of the things that largely determine my reading experience. I also love that you've maintained a perfect level of suspense in your review. So reading this review, I'm even more interested in reading the book.
Thank you for your review!
