The way ancient Arthurian characters blend seamlessly with modern characters in Nimue is a testament to the power of this approach. Personally, I was particularly drawn to Morgen - the way she embodies both evil and good is truly fascinating.

Authors use old tales to make new characters interesting but familiar. In "Nimue: Freeing Merlin," the character Nimue is a good example. She's based on the Lady of the Lake from old tales, and her mysterious and powerful qualities make her relevance to modern readers. Her journey to discover her true self is something we all can understand.

First of all, I like how the author uses her characters to depict deities. For instance, Nina dad was a replica of the god of alcohol. Guess what? He died of alcohol. Even Nina mother was a replica of the goddess Diana.

I once saw a series of Merlin. It was pretty good. I think I will be able to relate to this story as I am already aware of the characters surrounding Merlin's life. I am completely awed how the mythological stories fill our mind with possibilities. I have always wondered is there magic in the world and is time travel possible. Kudos to the author's creativity.

I really enjoyed every part of this story, I am very fanatic about the mythological characters and creatures and this book completely met my expectations. For me, Nimue is an amazing character, talented, strong and with a pure heart, I loved her.
I felt like I was reading a historical novel with all the details about the ancient wars, the witch hunt and the references of our past.
