However, I can imagine many religious people who would take this approach personally, especially regarding the absence of the crucifixion in the Gospel of Thomas and matters such as Mary Magdalene's blood connections. Respect to Arthur Telling for taking on such a challenging and creative perspective on these historical figures. The chronology alone would have been a challenge but based on your review, it seems as if this was one of the positive attributes of this book.
