I appreciate historical narratives that point to the event of crucifixion. Thank you for the review.

The Incarnation seems like an interesting historical fiction novel. The author has crafted a thought provoking but slightly far fetched story that may be a bit controversial due to its portrayal of biblical figures.

Wow! A radical one here today! I would like to hear what Cleopatra had to say but the existing gospel of Thomas is just so wow, I don't know what to say. I hope the author finds out the TRUTH with all this research.

I would love to read about ancient Egypt, but Mary Magdalene and Jesus in a relationship? That spoils the book for me

I have read this book, and I had the same feeling. The story seems a bit farfetched.

This sounds like an interesting book. I'd like to read it and learn about the historical events of early Christianity. Thank you for your insightful review!

I am a Christian and have always believed that the source of every Christian doctrine and the backbone of our theology is the Bible itself. Nonetheless, I find the book fascinating just from reading the review and my interest is piqued. I am glad the author included sufficient references. Many thanks for the informative review.

Joseph Olivia wrote: 16 Nov 2023, 23:29 Arthur Telling's 'The Incarnation' presents a fascinating tale intertwining ancient Egypt, early Christianity, and the Gospel of Thomas. While the alternate narrative is intriguing, some readers might find the storyline farfetched, especially concerning the overlooked radical interpretation of Christianity's origins. Congrats on BOTD.
- Quite right. That is why it makes such a good story. Thank you for your thoughts.

As a true believer in Christ, based on the reviews I have had the privilege to read, I will not be reading this book. It goes against everything I believe in.

I believe and trust in the divine wisdom that allowed Bible scholars to discern which accounts should be included in the final Bible. Thus, I don't think I will read this book.
